Did some dawn to dusk shooting with the always brilliant crew of Cock'd Gunns yesterday. Somewhat related, I was borrowing a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 lens for the gig, and though initially hesitant to shoot on a Tamron, I was left seriously impressed. It is a fast lens that's pretty sharp too. Only real downside is that it's loud. I'm tempted to replace my Canon 17-85 4-5.6 with this... no, I'm not even kidding. But, of course, Canon has to send it back to me first. ;)
